General Overview of the Role
The Relationship Manager – Life insurance will be responsible for building and managing relationships with channel partners, ensuring smooth business acquisition, and driving sales of credit life insurance products. The role requires excellent communication, networking, and business development skills to achieve sales targets while maintaining strong client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation \& Prospecting:
Identify and generate leads through in-branch lead generators, walk-in customers, and the bank’s customer database. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet assigned targets.
Client Consultation \& Financial Needs Assessment:
Conduct detailed discussions with customers to understand their insurance and investment requirements. Recommend suitable products from the company’s portfolio based on their needs and financial goals.
Sales Closure \& Documentation:
Facilitate the end-to-end sales process, including proposal form filling, medical coordination, documentation, and policy issuance. Ensure 100% accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
Relationship Management:
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to encourage renewals, referrals, and cross-selling opportunities. Provide post-sale support and address customer queries promptly.
Cross-Selling \& Up-Selling:
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell relevant insurance and investment products to existing customers, thereby maximizing business potential.
Reporting \& Compliance:
Ensure adherence to company sales processes, timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with branch staff, lead generators, and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and effective client servicing.
Skills \& Qualifications Required
Education \& Experience:
Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Business/Finance/Management or related field (required).
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in the Insurance industry,preferably in Credit Life/Banking/Financial services.
Proven track record in business development, client handling, and relationship management.
