Job Description
Our client, an important player in the railway infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for a long-term Time \& Material assignment.
Mission
Execute and report integration, system, and acceptance tests within a complex technical railway environment. You will work closely with the Test Coordinator and technical teams to ensure solution quality and compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Execute integration tests to validate interactions between systems and modules
Perform system tests against technical and functional specifications
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Create test descriptions, reports, and evidence
Execute and document test scenarios with stakeholders
Report, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
Contribute to test automation through scripting when relevant (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Profile / Requirements
Required Experience
5–10 years of professional experience (senior level)
Minimum 5 years in integration and system testing within complex technical environments
Proven experience in the railway domain
Required Technical Skills
Manual test execution and defect management (JIRA, Azure DevOps or equivalent)
Strong ability to read, execute, and validate models using MATLAB/Simulink
Equivalent tools accepted (Scade, other MathWorks-related tools)
Linux: strong working knowledge
QT (or equivalent) and IBM MQ (or equivalent): solid working knowledge
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and investigative mindset
Languages
French: C2 (clear reporting and precise defect description)
Dutch: A2 (validate/test screens and follow discussions)
English: B1 (understand specifications and participate in meetings)

ISTQB certification
