We're building a SaaS platform that will transform how pharmacies manage their operations—from inventory and workflow management to regulatory compliance and reporting. But we're not just building software. Our platform integrates with physical hardware devices to create a complete solution that connects the digital and physical sides of pharmacy operations.
The Scope:
This is a full-ecosystem product that includes:
- Cloud-based SaaS platform for pharmacy workflow and compliance management
- Hardware integrations: scales, label printers, barcode scanners, and specialized pharmacy equipment
- IoT device management and real-time data capture
- Regulatory-compliant audit trails and reporting
- Multi-environment infrastructure (staging, production)
The Role:
This is a hybrid position for someone who can write production code AND keep a complex, multi-faceted project on track. You'll split your time between hands-on development and coordinating sprints, managing timelines, and ensuring we ship quality software (and hardware integrations) on schedule.
Technical Side:
- Full stack development with TypeScript across the entire application
- Frontend: Next.js, React, modern CSS/styling approaches
- Backend: NestJS, Node.js, RESTful API design
- Database: PostgreSQL, query optimization, data modeling
- Caching: Redis/Valkey for performance and session management
- Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, RDS, ALB, VPC, CloudFront, IoT Core)
- DevOps: Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions CI/CD
- Hardware: Integration APIs, device communication, real-time data streaming
- Security: HIPAA compliance, authentication/authorization, secure data handling
Project Management Side:
- Sprint planning and backlog grooming across software AND hardware workstreams
- Writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria
- Coordinating between software development, hardware integration, and business stakeholders
- Managing complexity across multiple parallel workstreams
- Breaking down complex features into actionable development tasks
- Tracking progress, identifying risks, and removing blockers
- Managing technical documentation, specifications, and integration requirements
- Coordinating hardware testing and validation alongside software releases
- Process improvement and workflow optimization
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of full stack development experience with the technologies listed
- Proven track record of leading or managing technical projects with multiple workstreams
- Comfortable context-switching between coding and coordination
- Experience managing projects that involve both software and hardware components
- Strong communication skills—can translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Linear, GitHub Projects, or similar)
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and ambiguity
- Bonus: IoT, embedded systems, or hardware integration experience
- Bonus: Healthcare or regulated industry experience
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
