A Day in The Life Of:
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Software Engineer II role . This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Work independently under limited supervision
Implement CI/CD patterns for deploying and administering the data platform
Setup proactive monitoring and alerting
Create automation to enable a self-service model for developers
Troubleshoot production issues
Use platform metrics to provide insights for platform performance and cost-containment.
Work with IT and business partners to identify opportunities to improve existing processes
Key Skills \& Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering , Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
SQL and set-theory knowledge (SQLServer/Trino)
Knowledge/Experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines
Knowledge/Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Knowledge of big data technologies such as AWS Glue, Athena, Lake Formation or similar
Python (Pandas a big plus)
AWS certifications a plus
