We’re looking for a talented Data Engineer to join a growing technology function that plays a central role in enabling better decision‑making across the business. You’ll work alongside Product, BI, Data, and Cloud specialists to build modern, reliable data solutions that support both internal teams and external partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping data architecture, improving data flows, and building scalable systems that drive real impact. You’ll be contributing to meaningful projects that help organisations navigate complex data and regulatory challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and implementing databases, data models, and structures that support analytics and reporting.
Building and maintaining robust data pipelines for ingesting information from multiple sources.
Writing advanced SQL to deliver insights, reporting outputs, and BI solutions.
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing data pipeline performance.
Ensuring data systems align with business requirements and technical best practices.
Improving data delivery through indexing, query optimisation, and efficient processing techniques.
Evaluating and integrating new data platforms, tools, and modern data‑engineering technologies.
Using Git or Azure DevOps to manage source control and collaborate with the engineering team.
Supporting bespoke data initiatives in collaboration with senior engineers.
Working with external partners on data and database‑related operations.
Creating and maintaining clear, thorough documentation across all data engineering processes.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years in data engineering or a closely related discipline
Strong SQL capability and deep understanding of relational databases
Experience building ETL pipelines using platforms such as Azure Data Factory or Matillion
Proficiency with version control (Git)
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, ideally using Azure DevOps
Practical experience with Python for data transformation and integration
