DevOps Storage Backup Engineer

Main Tasks:
Under the leadership of the client’s Product Owners/Scrum Masters, you will ensure secure, stable operations as well as continuous development and automation of the customer's new digitalization platform. You will be self-motivated, committed, and well-versed in the DevSecOps model. With your passion for ICT, you will be responsible for the following areas:
Service Request Management
Incident Management
Monitoring and Event Management
Change Enablement
Continual Improvement
Knowledge Management
Skills must have:
A university degree or Federal Diploma in Computer Science with several years of professional experience, or a career changer with equivalent further training and professional experience in computer science.
Extensive practical experience in storage management and backup solutions.
Extensive experience with NetApp products, including installation, configuration, administration, and performance optimization.
In-depth knowledge of Commvault technologies, particularly related to data backup, recovery, and archiving.
Knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures and protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, and iSCSI.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Bash to simplify and automate routine tasks.
Knowledge of cloud storage solutions and hybrid infrastructures.
Familiarity with system monitoring and management tools, as well as troubleshooting complex storage environments.
Fluent German
Skills Nice to have:
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving storage and backup issues.
Ability to develop storage and backup strategies and continuously adapt them to changing business requirements.
Experience in conducting risk analyses and developing disaster recovery plans.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
Proactive, highly self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
