Job Description
As a Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:
Writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications according to specifications.
Analysing and assessing existing business systems and procedures for improvement.
Collaborating with regional and local technology teams for efficient implementation of new software products and resolving adaptation issues.
Designing, executing, and monitoring software deliverables for performance and quality, including debugging and optimisation.
Generating reports and statistics on programming progress for management and team members.
Developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines.
Training end users on new or modified programs.
The Successful Applicant
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A college diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
3 to less than 4 years of relevant work experience.
Strong proficiency in Python programming and Apache Spark.
Experience with Unix shell scripting.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
A flexible and adaptable approach to learning new technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
