As a Principal PM Manager reporting to Word’s Head of Product, you will play a pivotal role in building an AI-forward Word product. You will drive product strategy and collaborate with engineering, research, and design. Own and drive strategy for Word, ensuring the product delivers continuous value to hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.
Lead the AI-driven cultural shift in product management.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and research teams to shape product direction and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform product decisions and prioritize feature development.
Lead competitive analysis and positioning for Word in the AI productivity space.
Provide strategic direction for identifying long-term investment opportunities and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Weigh ROI vs. opportunity costs for investment areas and identify the best path forward.
Guide teams to identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities using quantitative (telemetry, usage) and qualitative (feedback channels, interviews) methods.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
3+ years people management experience.
3+ years of experience with AI technologies, platforms, or LLM science.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:* Proven track record in enterprise-scale product strategy, cross-org alignment, and customer engagement.
Comfortable presenting to executive stakeholders and external customers.
Ability to translate technical complexity into business outcomes for enterprise customers.
Proven ability to deliver results for large-scale products with global reach.
Skilled in organizational leadership, coaching, and building high-performing PM teams.
Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
