We are the Windows Agents and Growth Initiatiives (WinAGI) team, a part of the Windows + Devices (W+D) organization in Microsoft. Our team’s vision is to infuse AI in different layers of Windows, build great AI agents and grow our customer base! You will lead a growing team that builds AI agents and partners with several teams in Windows and the Microsoft CoPilot team! You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to AI-intense projects, and provide leadership in the development of AI-powered features for Windows. Responsibilities

You will be an experienced and technical engineering lead who builds AI and agentic experiences to support great and delightful consumer experiences. You will be a strong people manager who is committed to creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success. As a people manager, you will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. You will provide direction to the team through breaking down specs and architecture, and work across multiple disciplines to make implementation decisions. In your role you will work with peers across program management and software engineering to launch new experiences that integrate with existing systems. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

10+ years of total experience designing, building and shipping software at scale.

Solid design, coding, debugging, teamwork, partnership and communication skills.

Experience working with large dev teams to achieve complex goals on time and on budget.

Proven ability to find a shippable solution given conflicting and ambiguous requirements.

Exceptional teamwork and values that foster a positive team culture.

Experience in collaborating with teams across different time zones and geographies.

Experience driving efforts across product groups and business units.

Experience in leading and coaching teams of software engineers; providing expert guidance, hands-on assistance, best practices, and training.

Demonstrated ability to ramp up on both new and legacy technologies.

Experience in working within an agile software development team, leveraging experimentation and prototyping, while continuing to measure and iterate.

Proven fundamental understanding of how to deliver end-to-end scenarios with security, reliability, and engineering quality in mind.

Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers and helping to set a positive team culture.

Ability to learn and work effectively in a highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:* Excellent C/C++ design/architecture skills with expertise in leading teams in Windows development a plus.

Experience with cross group design and coordination is an advantage.
