As a Software Engineer, you develop, test, and document code using modern languages and tooling; contribute to design reviews and architecture proposals; and help improve live services through telemetry, diagnostics, and automation. You partner with stakeholders to understand user requirements, incorporate feedback, and deliver high‑quality features that meet performance and accessibility standards.
This role is based in Redmond, WA with at least 3 days per week in office; relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
Develops maintainable, extensible code using current programming languages and frameworks; writes unit tests and contributes to test automation.
Collaborates with stakeholders to clarify requirements, integrates feedback from multiple channels, and iterates on designs and solution fixes.
Contributes to design documents and architecture proposals with guidance; reuses code and follows established patterns and style guidelines.
Tests and debugs features using logs, telemetry, and diagnostics; documents deployment procedures and supports safe rollouts.
Participates in live‑site operations and on‑call rotations for straightforward issues; escalates appropriately and follows playbooks to restore service.
Builds and automates CI/CD and deployment workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual toil.
Learns and applies security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Experience working with AI technologies from a technical standpoint (e.g., integrating AI services, using developer copilots).
Experience with full‑stack development across front‑end and back‑end services.
Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
