As a Solution Architect, youâll lead the design and delivery of impactful solutions that bridge business strategy and technology. Youâll engage directly with senior customer stakeholders, drive architectural excellence, and contribute to Microsoftâs mission of empowerment through innovation.

Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable, and secure solutions that drive business value for our customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping solution strategy, architecture, and execution across engagements.
Customer-Centric Solution Design: Engage with a broad range of customer and partner stakeholdersâincluding business sponsors, enterprise architects, and technical teamsâto gather insights and define solution architecture. Facilitate alignment on business goals, technical feasibility, and delivery approach.
Architecture Definition \& Governance: Own the end-to-end architecture definition, including the Architecture Description Document, Architecture Decision Log, and Requirements Traceability Matrix. Ensure traceability from business requirements to technical implementation.
Business Value Realization: Collaborate with customers to articulate and measure the business value of solutions (e.g., revenue acceleration, cost optimization). Drive clarity in ambiguous or conflicting requirements and document assumptions and implications where needed.
Technical Leadership \& IP Development: Identify reusable patterns and gaps across engagements. Contribute to the development and refinement of intellectual property, including reference architectures, accelerators, and best practices. Promote reuse across pre-sales and delivery.
Cross-Team Collaboration \& Influence: Lead virtual teams across disciplines and geographies. Share strategic and technical insights with internal communities, engineering teams, and field stakeholders to influence product direction and improve solution outcomes.
Customer Advocacy \& Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, using evidence-based insights to advocate for improvements in Microsoft technologies, services, and offerings. Escalate and prioritize feedback to engineering and product teams.
Performance \& KPI Accountability: Drive impact across key performance indicators such as Azure Consumption Revenue, Gross Margin, Resource Mix, and Customer Satisfaction. Ensure architectural decisions align with business and financial goals.
Executive Engagement \& Communication: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with senior stakeholders on both customer and Microsoft side. Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language, facilitate executive-level discussions, and build trusted relationships that influence strategic direction.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR masterâs degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR equivalent experience including career returners and those with non-linear paths
Proven record of managing multiple, highly complex projects or portfolios and leading blended, multidisciplinary teams
Proven Cloud \& AI experience e.g., GenAI, LLM, SLM, Multi-modal AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agents/Agentic, DevBox
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical or professional certification in domain (e.g., GenAI, Azure)
Experience with technical (services/ consulting) sales experience
Leadership/ people management experience, including leading and supporting a diverse team of e.g., technical consultants
