Senior Java Developer with experience in Kafka Streams is being sought.
The project involves revamping the data exchange between client's systems used in its role as grid operator and those used as data manager. This involves modernizing the asset data interface between the two departments, and transferring responsibility for certain information from one department to the other. This asset data is crucial for accurately calculating consumption and grid costs, and for facilitating the functioning of the energy market.
Main skills:
Developing JAVA-based applications - 5 years min
Agile development methodology
Kafka internals: partitions, replicas, ISR, consumer groups, offset management, exactly-once semantics
experience with pair programming
Hands-on experience with Kafka Streams (DSL and Processor API) - 3 years min
Dutch at C2 level
experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins), Docker and Kubernetes
knowledge and experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL, etc.)
knowledge and experience with Unit Testing
Cloud Kafka developer certification
Production experience with stateful stream processing: windowing, joins, session windows, interactive queries, RocksDB - nice to have
