Grove Mitre 10 is a recognised and respected member of the Mitre 10 group, owning and operating stores in Glenfield and Onehunga, and being a leading merchant supplier to Trade and Commercial businesses throughout the wider Auckland region.

Our Glenfield Mitre 10 MEGA store is looking for a Drive-Thru Manager to join a great management team and take the Glenfield Drive-Thru timber yard to the next level.

We believe our people are our greatest asset, hence we are looking for a natural leader with excellent product and building industry knowledge, who is able to inspire the team to achieve outstanding results.

You will be reporting to the Store Operations Manager. This role will see you having daily communication with the Drive-Thru Supervisor, Logistics Despatch Officer and the Trade Operations Manager.

We are a 7-day operation, so the successful candidate will be required to work a 5 day, 45 hours per week roster, including one day of the weekend.

This will see you taking accountability for:

supporting all DIY, trade and commercial customers

the daily running and consistent linking of the Drive-Thru, Warehouse and Despatch teams

leading the safety culture across these teams

overseeing all stock control processes, including stock rotation, accuracy and replenishment

driving improvements in GP$ through smarter selling, margin control and product knowledge

maintaining high yard and warehouse standards, including efficient warehouse storage and layout for optimal safety and productivity

ensuring all equipment and vehicles are maintained, safe and compliant

ensuring despatch accuracy and on-time delivery performance for all customers

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

a hands-on, lead-by-example leadership style

a high calibre of retail and merchandising skill

excellence in service, safety and stock management

strong commercial awareness with trade and retail customers

problem solving ability, with clear and direct communication skills

that you are capable of leading multiple operational areas effectively

that your industry knowledge and customer rapport will add value to our customers projects

building industry leadership experience would be a definite advantage
