Founding Engineer - Full-Stack AI Compliance Platform
Location: On site - New York
Compensation: $200K - $250K
We are a rapidly growing AI and Security company that has already disrupted industry incumbents since launching in 2025. We are building the AI-native compliance platform that automates security and compliance (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR) using AI agents, turning months-long processes into days. We are looking for a Founding Engineer—a true builder ready to own features end-to-end and define the technical DNA of our product.
This is not a narrow role; we seek a full-stack builder who can execute across the entire product lifecycle. You will have deep ownership over critical, high-leverage projects, collaborating directly with the founders to move the business forward. Your code quality and product sense will set the standard for the entire engineering organization.
What You'll Do:
End-to-End Product Ownership: Own entire features from concept to production, encompassing clean database schema design (Postgres/Prisma), elegant API development (Node.js/Next.js), and pixel-perfect, polished UI implementation (React/TypeScript).
Rapid Shipping: Design and ship new, professional-grade features weekly, taking full responsibility for implementation and deployment (Vercel/AWS).
AI Feature Build-Out: Implement AI-powered features by integrating and utilizing advanced AI tooling, including the Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, and models from OpenAI/Anthropic.
Go From 0 to 1: Take rough product ideas and rapidly ship features that are both professional and polished, setting the standard for product excellence.
Founders Collaboration: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders on high-leverage projects that directly impact our business growth.
Requirements
Experience: 1 – 6 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, ideally spent at high-growth startups.
Full-Stack Mastery: Must be equally strong on both frontend and backend; you must be comfortable with clean database design, elegant API structure, and beautiful UI implementation.
Builder Mentality: Proven track record as a builder—someone who has built products from 0 to 1, shipped side projects, or founded companies.
Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Prisma.
Work Policy: Ability to work 5 days/week on-site in New York City.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience integrating AI tooling and agent implementation (LangChain, Vercel AI SDK).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and job scheduling tools (Trigger.dev).
