Role Overview :-
The Product Manager (Flights) will be responsible for driving the end-to-end lifecycle of the flight booking and management product suite. This includes defining product strategy, managing integrations with GDS, LCC, and NDC systems, and continuously enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge of the airline ecosystem and a proven ability to translate customer and business needs into scalable product solutions.
Key Responsibilities :-
1. Product Strategy \& Roadmap
Define and execute the product roadmap for flight search, booking, and management modules.
Align product initiatives with business goals, market opportunities, and customer needs.
Identify and prioritize high-impact features to improve revenue, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
2. Airline Integrations \& Technology
Lead integrations with GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), LCCs, and NDC-based airline APIs.
Ensure fare accuracy, content parity, and competitive pricing across channels.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to build scalable and secure flight systems.
3. User Experience \& Conversion Optimization
Work closely with UX/UI teams to design intuitive interfaces for B2B and B2C users.
Enhance search and booking workflows for faster, more personalized results.
Drive continuous improvements in ancillary upselling, refunds, and post-booking automation.
4. Data-Driven Decision Making
Analyze user behavior, funnel metrics, and operational data to inform product enhancements.
Use A/B testing, analytics dashboards, and feedback loops to validate hypotheses.
Monitor product KPIs including conversion rates, booking accuracy, and revenue per transaction.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver cohesive flight experiences.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress across business functions.
Contribute to strategic discussions around pricing models, supplier partnerships, and platform scalability.
Qualifications \& Requirements :-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 7 years of experience in Product Management within travel technology, specifically airline or flight booking systems.
Strong understanding of airline distribution systems (GDS, NDC, LCC integrations).
Hands-on experience with data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Tableau) and SQL proficiency.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Attributes :-
Experience working on both B2C and B2B travel platforms.
Familiarity with modern product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Productboard.
Strong problem-solving mindset with an eye for innovation and process improvement.
Passion for travel technology and understanding of emerging trends in airline distribution and personalization.
