Job Description

We are hiring a

Lead/ Principal Frontend Engineer

to drive frontend development for our B2B SaaS platform,

Money Forward Cloud Consolidated Accounting

. You’ll lead technical strategy, development, and mentoring for frontend teams across

Japan and Vietnam

, building high-quality user experiences and collaborating with global product teams.

This role is core to

scaling our product globally

and creating an exciting developer culture in the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto) and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor frontend teams across Japan and Vietnam.

Drive frontend technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap.

Design and build scalable, high-performing web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.

Ensure high standards in code quality, UX, performance, and accessibility.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers.

Promote knowledge sharing, modern development practices, and CI/CD automation.

Own and evolve the frontend development environment and workflows.

Support junior/mid-level engineers in their growth and learning.

Your Skills And Experience

Our main requirements:

8+ years in web development; 5+ years in frontend engineering.

3+ years experience in React.js and Next.js in production systems.

Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.

Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and AWS-based infrastructure.

Proven experience in setting frontend technical standards and mentoring engineers.

Fluent English communication skills (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent required or tested during selection).

Familiarity with GraphQL, Playwright, Storybook, and Node.js build tools (e.g., Babel, webpack).
