Assistant Manager – IT Business Solutions (Fare Management) (Ref: 25000125)
Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager to manage digital solution projects for Fare Revenue management business units
Work closely with business users to collect and to analyze business requirements. This involves conducting review/ workshop to gain in-depth understanding pain points of the organization and translate into system requirements and specifications
Partner with business users to research, source and/or formulate the digital solutions fulfilling business requirements
Lead and manage vendor and/or internal IT development team to develop the digital solutions
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business process changes to adopt new digital solutions
Supervise and support project implementation activities such as system configuration, performance/ load test, UAT, data conversion and cutover activities etc.
Monitor software developers including quality assurance activities such as code review, compliance check to project standards, etc. according to IT Process Methodology
Proactively identify and escalate project risk to the management
Carry out initial production and on-going maintenance \& support including annual audits, ISO compliance, DR drill and patch management, etc.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Systems or a related discipline
A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
Good experience and knowledge of automatic fare collection and revenue management
Solid experience in application development, preferably in .NET Framework/Core, MS SQL Server database design, Java and shell script, Oracle database, Web framework (Struts, Spring, Hibernate, etc), service-oriented architecture/web services (SOAP/REST)
Experience in using Azure Cloud components like APIM, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB, Data Factory, Data Lake, IBM WebSphere, MQ, SAP BusinessObjects and Json is an advantage
Possess strong stakeholder / vendor management skills with high level of competence in problem solving and business acumen
Good presentation, analytical and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
Fluent in speaking Mandarin is an advantage
