Job Description

The Design Technologist is a hands-on Full-Stack Developer responsible for building, maintaining, and modernizing the Foundation’s digital systems. This role works across front-end, back-end, and cloud-based platforms and collaborates with Graphic Design, external design firms, and technical consultants to implement and sustain reliable, well-designed solutions.

The Design Technologist plays a key role in the organization’s transition from locally hosted legacy systems to Microsoft Azure. While major architectural decisions and migrations will be guided by external consultants, this position serves as the internal technical owner—supporting implementation, integration, and long-term system stability.

The ideal candidate brings a strong coder and problem-solver mindset, is comfortable learning new technologies, and understands when to move carefully in production environments. This role values practical judgment, curiosity, and long-term thinking.

How We Work

We balance modernization with stability. Our systems include both legacy and modern technologies, and we value technologists who can work effectively in both—knowing when to improve, when to stabilize, and when to leave systems unchanged. You will have autonomy in your work, paired with the expectation of thoughtful decision-making, testing, and documentation.

Myers \& Briggs Foundation offers a flexible hybrid-remote schedule, with an expectation of being in the office a few days most weeks. We offer a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment and invest in the professional development of our staff. The Foundation provides a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including generous leave time, employer-paid health insurance, and retirement contributions.

Responsibilities
