Job Description We are happy to consider both Perm and Contractors.

We are seeking a talented Senior SRE/Platform Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Provision and manage AWS resources using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools

Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner

Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications

Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for cloud infrastructure

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as required

Qualifications

Strong experience with AWS services and infrastructure

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or Java

Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices (preferred)

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (preferred)

Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing (preferred)

Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell (preferred)

Understanding of networking concepts like load balancing and DNS (preferred)

Relevant certifications like AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (preferred)
