Job Description:

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both the frontend and backend components of our web applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of the organization. The candidate will work with various technologies and frameworks, ensuring the delivery of responsive and scalable applications that comply with security and industry standards.

Requirements:

U.S Citizenship required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

This position is remote but may require occasional onsite meetings in McLean, VA.

You can be based out of following states: AZ, DC, FL, GA, OH, ME, MD, SC, TX, UT, VA, NC, OK, WV.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

At least 8 years of experience in full stack development.

Proficiency in frontend technologies including JSP and related web presentation technologies.

Strong backend development skills using Java with Spring, Apache Struts, and Hibernate.

Experience with legacy and healthcare-focused systems such as MUMPS (VistA).

Experience deploying and supporting applications on Oracle WebLogic.

Experience with business rules and decision management using IBM ODM.

Familiarity with healthcare data standards and integrations, including HL7.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.

Strong understanding of security best practices and regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a government contracting environment.

Relevant certifications in web development or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Full Stack Development:

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure web applications using frontend and backend technologies.

Implement APIs and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.

Collaboration:

Work closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Code Quality and Practices:

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize application performance, ensuring fast response times and efficient data handling.

Monitor and improve the application's performance and scalability.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure applications comply with security standards and regulations, such as FedRAMP and HIPAA.

Implement security best practices to protect data integrity and user privacy.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in full stack development.

Proactively seek opportunities to improve the applications and development processes.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.

Provide technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and future development.

User Support and Issue Resolution:

Provide support to end-users and stakeholders, addressing issues and resolving bugs promptly.

Track, analyze, and resolve user-reported issues efficiently.
