We're looking for a Senior Golang Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable backend systems. You will play a key role in defining architecture, building robust microservices, and designing high-quality APIs that support business-critical applications.
Location: Mexico (Remote)
Qualifications we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
5+ years of professional backend development experience
Strong, hands-on expertise in Golang
Deep understanding of microservices architecture
Extensive experience in API design and backend system integration
Solid experience working with MongoDB
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and scalability
Experience with Git-based workflows and collaborative development
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of backend services using Golang
Architect and maintain microservices-based systems at scale
Design, implement, and evolve RESTful APIs
Model, store, and manage data using MongoDB
Drive technical decisions, architecture standards, and best practices
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and guidance
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of backend systems
Collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and frontend teams
