I'm working with a financial services client of mine based un Galway, and I'm looking to speak to data engineers with strong expertise in snowflake. This will be a day rate contract opportunity with a requirement to be onsite 1 full week per month (3 weeks fully remote)

Strong
hands-on experience working with Snowflake
Experience
consuming, ingesting, and inserting data into Snowflake
, supporting data pipelines and ingestion processes.
Ability to
create and manage views and functions
to support data transformation and downstream analytics.
Experience performing
data comparison, validation, and reconciliation
between source and target datasets to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Proven experience
optimising Snowflake SQL queries
to improve performance and efficiency.
Hands-on experience implementing
Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) Type 2
logic for historical data tracking during ingestion processes.
Nice to Have
Experience working with
Java or Spring Batch
for batch processing or data pipeline development.
Exposure to
mainframe environments
or legacy systems (e.g. COBOL-based systems or mainframe data sources).
