leading telecommunications company in Zurich
that is looking for a
Junior Data Engineer
to join their data team on a
40% basis
. This position is well suited for interns, students, or early-career professionals who are studying part-time and looking to gain practical experience in data engineering.
In this role, you will support the team with data preparation, data quality checks, and SQL-based data processing tasks, while learning how enterprise data platforms are built and maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting data engineering tasks related to data extraction, transformation, and validation
Writing and maintaining SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
Assisting with data quality checks and basic troubleshooting
Supporting documentation of data structures and data flows
Collaborating with senior data engineers and analysts
Learning and applying internal data standards and best practices
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
Basic to solid SQL knowledge
Initial exposure to data engineering or analytics concepts
Interest in working with data in a structured, enterprise environment
Strong willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
Comfortable communicating in a team environment
