As a Backend Developer, youâll design, develop, and maintain high-performing web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration with frontend systems. Youâll work collaboratively with frontend engineers, UX specialists, and product stakeholders to bring innovative in-car experiences to life. The role involves building and maintaining APIs and services, writing clean and maintainable code, optimizing system performance, and contributing to code reviews and process improvements across a modern, agile development environment.
You should hold a
Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
, and have strong proficiency in
Python
as well as additional backend programming languages such as
Java, Kotlin, or C#
. Solid experience with
Google App Engine (GAE)
is essential, alongside a working knowledge of
RESTful APIs
or
GraphQL
,
version control with Git
, and a strong attention to performance, usability, and system reliability.
Candidates with additional expertise in
JavaScript frameworks
(React, Angular, Vue),
databases
(SQL/NoSQL),
Android Automotive (AAOS)

cloud environments
