About the role
As the Product Owner, you serve as the bridge between business needs, as framed by the Product Manager, and the technical execution delivered by our engineering teams.
Whereas the Product Manager defines what problems we solve and why they matter—by framing user needs, market context, and business value—you define how we solve them at the product level.
You work hands-on with engineering teams to shape solutions that are concrete enough for execution yet abstract enough to leave space for engineering creativity and optimization.
You have a strong product mindset and technical fluency to ensure that solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with long-term product vision.
How you will contribute
Product definition and solution shaping (60%)
Translate user needs and business priorities into clear, actionable product requirements for engineering teams.
Define functional and non-functional requirements, success criteria, and constraints.
Balance detail and abstraction: provide enough structure so teams know what to build, while leaving room for engineers to design how to build it.
Own the product backlog: write and refine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Partner closely with engineering leads to evaluate solution approaches, trade-offs, and cost-benefit analysis.
Serve as the “first line of validation” for design proposals, ensuring they align with requirements and product vision.
Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.
Track progress, identify risks, and resolve ambiguity during development.
Validate completed features against requirements before release.
Validate the proposed solutions with customers and other stakeholders (formative and summative usability evaluation).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary stakeholders, e.g., customers, product managers, and sales managers, to define the key elements of our software solution(s).
Collaborate with product designers, functional analysts, and software developers to translate user requirements into a good software design.
Cross-functional alignment (40%)
Act as the internal advocate for the product vision, complementing the Product Manager’s role as the external advocate for the customer and market.
Work with the Product Manager to ensure that user-facing value propositions map to robust software solutions.
Collaborate with RAQA, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure high-quality delivery and smooth product adoption.
What you bring to Nipro
Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT or similar by experience
Minimum 4 years in IT software development or as a product owner
You are fluent in English
Experience in the Medical Industry is a plus, not a must
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are committed to challenging tasks
You are above all customer oriented, pragmatic, showing excellent communication skills combined with a healthy dose of assertiveness
