We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a major digital transformation program focused on modernising enforcement and infringement processing across multiple Australian jurisdictions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building smart automation, integrating systems, and using data and AI to improve how large-scale operations run.
You will play a key role in designing, building and deploying software solutions that improve the speed, accuracy and scalability of enforcement workflows, while working closely with operational, technology and reporting teams.
What you will be doing
Design, build and deploy automation solutions across complex business workflows
Develop front-end tools that make investigative and enforcement work faster and easier
Integrate enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, reporting tools, and case management systems via APIs and data pipelines
Build and maintain RPA bots, ETL pipelines, and automation frameworks
Use AI and analytics to improve processing volumes, accuracy and decision-making
Lead the full software lifecycle: solution design, development, testing and deployment
Translate business problems into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
Support governance, compliance and data integrity requirements
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
5+ years’ experience in software engineering, automation, or business transformation
Strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript or similar
Experience building web-based interfaces (e.g. React, Streamlit)
Strong experience with APIs, system integrations, ETL pipelines and automation
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
