We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our clients equity derivatives technology team at a leading tier one investment bank. In this role, you will develop and maintain high-performance trading applications that support their front office operations, collaborating closely with traders and quantitative analysts.
The role:
Design, develop, and enhance Java-based trading applications and tools that facilitate trading, risk management, and client interactions.
Collaborate with front office users to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of applications with existing systems and databases.
Analyze and optimize application performance, ensuring low latency and high reliability in a fast-paced trading environment.
Implement unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to best practices in software development.
Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and other developers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, including design specifications, user guides, and technical manuals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
1+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in the financial services sector.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, and market data feeds is highly desirable.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Good command of Mandarin, at least at a professional level
