Build and maintain backend services in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar modern frameworks.
Lead integrations for cross-border commerce, payment gateways, fulfilment, and delivery partners.
Design and maintain scalable APIs and middleware for CMS, DAM, and analytics platforms.
Define and implement observability, logging, and alerting standards (e.g. NewRelic, Datadog, CloudWatch).
Partner with the front-end team to ensure seamless end-to-end experiences.
Contribute to DevOps automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Mentor developers and contribute to setting engineering standards and CI/CD processes.

Strong proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
Experience integrating third-party e-commerce and marketing systems (e.g. loyalty, A/B testing, merchandising).
Proven experience building and deploying microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) - including Lambda, ECS, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, or similar services.
Familiarity with data integration and event-driven pipelines (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar).
Strong understanding of authentication, security, scalability, and performance.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools, infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform), and containerisation (Docker).
Understanding of observability and platform KPIs.
Nice to Have:
Background in e-commerce or digital experience platforms (BigCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce, etc.).
Interest in mentoring and shaping engineering culture in a scaling team.
