Nomos exists to eliminate energy costs for 200 million European households. We achieve this by developing new energy products with Europeâs leading technology companies and embed energy as a cost-saving feature for electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage systems and more.
About the team

Started by Stefan and Nils in 2024, the Nomos team now consists of former researchers, founders and senior engineers united by a deep frustration of the current energy system and the vision to build a category leading enterprise out of Europe.
We strive to build a strong culture of effective communication, ownership and belonging. In this critical phase of our venture this translates to working in-person in Berlin Mitte with a group of people that value meritocracy, curiosity and craftsmanship.
What youâll do
==================
Nomos is building the core infrastructure for dynamic electricity plans. To make this possible, weâve developed our own operating system, spanning a modular billing engine, low-level energy-market communication protocols, and a full accounting ledger. Your responsibility will include:
Solve for complexity through design. The energy market is full of edge cases, legacy protocols, and evolving regulations. Your job is to turn that chaos into clear, elegant abstractions and design APIs and systems that make something deeply complex feel simple and reliable.
Scale the core. Youâll work on the beating heart of Nomos: our billing engine, data pipelines, and partner integrations. Youâll design for performance, correctness, and resilience - building systems that can scale 10Ă without breaking.
Bias for action. We optimize for momentum. Youâll have full autonomy to ship, refactor, and push ideas forward without waiting on layers of approval â the shortest path from idea to production is the right one.
Raise the bar. Youâll shape our engineering standards, review critical code, and contribute to the technical culture of a team that values clarity, pragmatism, and velocity.
