At Nordson Matrix Technologies GmbH, a leading company in state-of-the-art X-ray inspection solutions, we are constantly looking for dedicated and motivated Software engineers . As a team member of our engineering team you will work on high-speed Automated Inline X-ray Inspection systems (AXI) and semi-automated X-ray Inspection systems.

Role and Responsibilities

As Software engineer you will deal with the overall software architecture for machines as well offline programming of systems. Optimizing the inspection task on the AXI systems, like being used at SMI-Backend, SMT and casting productions, will be one of your responsibilities. To be able to parallelize the automatic sample evaluation across scalable processor clusters you will be involved in developing and implementing of new concepts.

Next to continuous improvement, you will participate in developing concepts for inspection list maintenance and creation by the end-user.

Create high quality code, using C#, VisualStudio and Assure DevOps

Provide 3rd level support for Applications and Field-Service, in-house and at customer sites.

Provide help in creating product training for internal personnel.

Create automatic software test routines, embedded into the automatic build process.

Provide the highest quality applications support with minimum supervision in a customer-focused culture.

Understand and interpret the customer requirements and provide the best solution, working closely with Product/Project Management.

Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Support global and regional applications efforts per company needs.

Attend product launches as necessary.

Support and promote company values and policies.

Support sales with technical documentation on key applications.

Carry out any ad-hoc technical support duties as required by the senior manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in computer science or similar.

3+ years of experience in C# and object-oriented programming;

Good experience in automation, control systems or machinery projects.

Fluency in spoken and written English, preferably also German

Passion to work within an international, interdisciplinary team.

Preferably experience with X-ray or optical inspection systems;

Preferably experience in GPU-programming (OpenCL)

Preferably 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.

Preferably Practical knowledge with GIT, Visual Studio, WPF, WindowsForms, MS-SQL, etc.;

Team player with good organization skills and work ethic.

Creative with strong problem-solving skills.

Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
