Role Summary

We are seeking a

Senior Front-End Developer with deep React (Next.js) expertise

to help us build modern, user-friendly, and performant interfaces. In this role, you will design and implement real-time, data-rich applications, collaborating closely with our software engineering and consulting teams. While your primary focus will be front-end development, experience with C#/ASP.NET Core, Python, and API design is highly valued.

Requirements

Develop and maintain modern React/TypeScript (Next.js) interfaces with real-time features (SignalR, WebSockets)

Collaborate with back-end engineers on gRPC and REST API design and contracts

Apply best practices: OOP, SOLID, modular and composable design

Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural documentation

Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and testable code with strong focus on user experience

Skills \& Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

5+ years professional experience with React and TypeScript + Next.js

Expertise in data fetching and caching with React Query (or similar)

Strong understanding of real-time applications (SignalR, WebSockets) and collaborative UIs

Proficiency in state management, UI component libraries, and modern build tools

Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library) covering unit, integration, and functional testing

Solid knowledge of CSS frameworks such as Material UI

Experienced in Agile/Scrum workflows with excellent English communication skills

Bonus / Optional Skills

Knowledge of C#/ASP.NET and/or Python

Proficiency in data visualization libraries (ECharts, Plotly, HighCharts)

Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Familiarity with Storybook for component-driven development

Familiarity with gRPC, and REST API integration

Working knowledge of SQL, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

In accordance with the IT collective agreement (minimum ST1 - Regelstufe), the minimum gross annual salary is €53,802; however, your actual compensation will reflect your skills, experience, and impact and will be significantly higher
