Primary Responsibilities
Administrative responsibilities:
To provide Assistant Banquet Manager with detailed product and purchase specifications for all the items needed in banqueting
To assist in identifying any improvements for banquet operations
To assist in ensuring that department’s operations budget is adhere to and that all costs are strictly controlled.
To assist in maximizing employees’ productivity through efficient scheduling and training in order to keep the payroll cost at its minimum (within departmental budget).
Technical responsibilities:
General:
To supervise the employees within the department ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Standard Operating Procedures.
To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually and wear the correct employee uniform and name badge at all time.
Guest Service:
To assist establish guest service standards for the various types of function which meet the needs of the targeted market and which are in line with the operating concept of the department.
To ensure that all employees provide a courteous and professional service at all time.
To handle complaints and guests suggestions by using the proper channel of delegation and report any issue to management and record in the log book accordingly.
Product:
To ensure that banquet storage areas are kept tidy and organized in order to maintain all banquet equipment in good conditions.
Other responsibilities:
To assist in training and developing staff so that they are able to operate independently
To assist in training program for their respective employees in co-ordination with the management
To ensure that his/her team project professionalism and that employees are well groomed and wear impeccable uniforms at all time.
To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s rules and regulations as well as the hotel’s policy related to hygiene and safety.

Knowledge and Experience
Education: High school above
Experience: Experience in guest services preferred
Credentials: Experience in 4, 5 stars Hotel is preferred

Be able to speak English and third language will be an advantage
