Location: Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available across NSW, with some travel to Sydney metro locations required from time to time (negotiable)
Grade: DCS Clerk Grade 11/12
Salary Range: $149,739 - – $173,174 p.a. base salary dependent on experience, plus 12% superannuation
About the Role
Government Technology Platforms (GTP), part of the Department of Customer Service, is seeking an experienced and technically adept Senior Siebel Developer to take a lead role in enhancing NSW’s core digital licensing platforms. This is a 24-month contract opportunity where you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade functionality on the Oracle Siebel CRM 8+ platform with Open UI. You’ll play a critical role in working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver one of NSW Government's most critical SaaS platforms.
Skills \& Experience
Extensive hands-on Siebel 8+ design \& development experience, including Open UI JavaScript/CSS customisations
Strong skills in Siebel Configuration, eScripts, Workflows, REST APIs, and EAI
Understanding of Siebel architecture, server management, Workspaces, and SQL performance tuning
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex enterprise systems in high-availability environments
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into Siebel design and configuration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business stakeholders and clients
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align technical solutions with strategic objectives
Proven ability to collaborate with solution designers to develop robust, scalable technical designs
Experience in build, development, deployment and testing of Siebel CRM components
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and deploy enhancements on the Siebel CRM platform (8+ with Open UI)
Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Siebel Configuration, eScript, Workflows, EAI, REST API, JavaScript and CSS
Support Siebel platform stability through performance tuning, upgrades, and data migration
Engage directly with business analysts, clients, and cross-functional teams to define and deliver high-quality outcomes
Provide post-deployment support and ensure enterprise-grade reliability and system availability
Collaborate in an Agile environment and occasionally work outside standard hours during key release cycles
Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals
