Position: Data Engineer – Snowflake \& dbt
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Duration: Contract/Permanent
*Key Responsibilities*:
Design and develop scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions
Build modular ELT pipelines using dbt
Develop and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion
Support analytics teams with Power BI datasets
Optimize SQL queries, data models, and warehouse performance
Implement data governance, quality checks, and security standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers
*Required Experience*:
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI
Strong SQL expertise
Experience with AWS
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Airflow
*Nice to Have*:
Snowflake or dbt certifications
Experience with DataOps, automated testing, or semantic modeling
