Junior Java Developer - European Institution
Location:
Brussels, Belgium - European Institution
Responsibilities
:
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
Develop and maintain applications in accordance with specifications and technical best practices;
Create process and data models, draw up technical specifications, build prototypes;
Investigate technical solutions which meet a list of standards;
Assist the project manager in making proposals for the definition of tasks, estimates and deliverables;
Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings;
Develop unit and integration test suites, plans and programs;
Define and integrate technical components or applications;
Produce technical and user documentation;
Assist business users of the system;
Assist with deployment and configuration of the system;
Take part in application support by investigating issues (3rd level support etc.).
Requirements
:
Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar;
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in application development
after
studies, internships can be considered as well
if
they were performed after studiyng years;
Experience working with Java, JavaScript, OracleDB;
Knowledge of web standards and CSS-based design;
Knowledge of REST and experience developing APIs;
Knowledge of ticketing tools;
Knowledge of application integration;
Experience with UML or case tools;
Experience with relational databases;
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) and DevOps practices is a plus.
Languages:
Great knowledge of English - Level B2/C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
