NTT DATA is looking for a Network Operations Technical Lead to support a key project in Federal Government. This role will work within the NTT DATA Network Operations Centre (NOC) and collaborate with our Client to offer crucial managed services in support of nationally important networking and monitoring systems. This partnership aligns with our customer’s mission of providing safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible services. The role plays an important role in in the administration and support of the infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security, safety and reliability.

The Network Operations Technical Lead is a highly experienced professional with advanced network operations support expertise. They have deep knowledge and understanding across multiple areas of network technologies and they use advanced evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select the most effective course of action, often in complex or ambiguous scenarios requiring strategic insight.

What You'll be Doing

Work independently, with general direction from the client, stakeholders, team lead or senior manager, to perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents / requests in a timely manner within agreed SLA. Timely and consistent updates of tickets with resolution tasks performed.

Review architecture, design and as built documentation and make recommendations for improvements, including scalability, resilience, and security enhancements.

Facilitate operational handover, and may lead implementation phases for network-related initiatives.

Proactively identify, investigate, analyse issues and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner. Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.

Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes within client specified change windows. Liaise with the client, vendors, and other partners to ensure minimal disruption to the client’s day-to-day business operations.

Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported devices and networks and assist in proper capacity planning and management.

Mentor L1/L2 Engineers offering technical expertise / guidance, and coach L3 engineers to push work down and build team capability.

Test new software versions and patches for release suitability and problem resolution.

Maintain detailed, accurate technical documentation and operational procedures for supported solutions.

Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks.

Support facility and access management for the NOC Operations Centre and associated data centres.

Obtain and maintain all role-specific internal certifications required to perform the duties of the position effectively.

Your Experience and Qualifications

You must be an Australian Citizen and hold an AGSVA Baseline clearance.

An AGSVA NV1 clearance or higher will be well regarded.

A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
