Project Summary
Join a leading sovereign wealth fund’s enterprise data platform initiative . You will support the development of a Financial Data Mart , working closely with data stewards, analysts, and business stakeholders to design, build, and support robust data pipelines on modern cloud platforms.
The role offers exposure to large-scale financial data systems, advanced engineering practices, and cutting-edge tools like Snowflake and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Work with data stewards, analysts, and end-users to design and deliver scalable data solutions.
Build and maintain batch and streaming ingestion pipelines in Python from APIs, file transfers, Oracle, and MSSQL sources.
Drive the full SDLC : requirement gathering, design, development, SIT, UAT, and deployment via GitHub CI/CD.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and governance standards.
Monitor production jobs, resolve incidents, fix bugs, and meet SLA requirements.
Implement ingestion validation and data quality checks to ensure trusted data delivery.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding best practices.
Provide independent BAU production support and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
Work in an Agile delivery model , adapting quickly to evolving project and business needs.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years’ experience developing and supporting data pipelines .
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL .
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (preferred) or equivalent cloud data platforms (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse).
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
Experience with GitHub / CI-CD pipelines .
Understanding of data warehousing concepts .
Knowledge of SDLC methodology (design, testing, release).
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Able to work independently for both development and production support.
Agile, quick learner, and collaborative team player.
