Responsibilities:
Nymbl is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and help scale our healthcare SaaS platform. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, secure, and compliant infrastructure that supports our mission of improving healthcare outcomes through technology. This role requires a strong understanding of both modern DevOps practices and healthcare industry requirements, including HIPAA compliance and data security standards.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Infrastructure \& Platform Management
Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
Monitor system performance, availability, and security metrics
Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation
Security \& Compliance
Ensure HIPAA compliance across all systems and processes
Implement security best practices including encryption at rest and in transit
Manage access controls, authentication, and authorization systems
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Maintain audit trails and logging for compliance requirements
Automation \& Optimization
Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes
Optimize system performance and cost efficiency
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Collaboration \& Support
Work closely with development teams to improve deployment processes
Participate in on-call rotation for production support
Collaborate with security and compliance teams
Mentor junior team members and share knowledge
Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing
Required Qualifications:
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and suitable work from home environment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in agile development environments.
Technical Skills
3+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Proficiency with containerization (ECS, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in AWS serverless architectures (lambda, SQS, EventBridge)
Experience with multi-region workloads
Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Terragrunt, CloudFormation or similar
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Sentry, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Version control systems (Git)
Healthcare \& Compliance
Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements
Experience with healthcare data security standards
Knowledge of SOC 2 Type II compliance preferred
Experience with audit requirements and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries
Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.)
Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Knowledge of networking and security protocols
Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, DICOM)
Expertise in O\&P, Complex Rehab Technology and Durable Medical Equipment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with Nymbl Systems.
