Python Developer - £400 per day (Outside IR35)
A high-growth FinTech company is looking for an experienced Python Developer to join on a 6-month contract, with strong likelihood of extension. This role is fully Outside IR35 and offers a day rate of £400.
2 days a week in London, 3 days WFH.
Role Overview
You will work within a cross-functional engineering team building scalable, high-performance services for a cutting-edge financial platform. The role involves developing new features, optimising existing code, and collaborating closely with Data, DevOps, and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using
Python (3.x)
Django is a must have
Build APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment
Integrate with financial data sources and third-party systems
Work with event-driven architectures and asynchronous frameworks
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Required Skills
Strong commercial experience with
Python
, ideally in FinTech, banking, trading, or data-heavy environments
Experience with
Django
Strong understanding of
REST APIs
, microservices, and distributed systems
Experience with
AWS
, Docker, and containerised deployments
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with
CI/CD
, automated testing, and version control (Git)
