Duration :1 year(January 1, 2026 - December 31)-Option to extend

Remote status : Hybrid

Assignment Description

The IND is renewing its landscape and has started the realization of the migration pact with a deadline of June 2026. To guarantee quality, stability, and consistency across the teams, components and technical resources (and the methodologies, tooling, and techniques) must be prepared, developed, and reused by the realization teams.

You will implement the bpmn-test-functionality with which bpmn processes can be tested automatically, with an emphasis on the backend processes.

You will expand the code generation that generates Java code based on DMN and BPMN processes that can be used by various development teams.

You will improve the entry of process data used in BPMN processes.

You will integrate data models from Powerdesigner into the rule catalog.

You will connect the BeInformed WorkBench to the rule catalog.

You will add support for time versions of BPMN and DMN models.

You will realize an initial version of the service before June 12, 2026.

It is a clearly defined assignment until the end of 2026 with specific results, specific domain and technical knowledge of the IND business and tech stack as used at the IND, and is therefore suitable for a self-employed professional (ZZP'er).

Assignment Background:

The various components (process-engine, test-service, registers) are stand-alone components. The process-engine and both registers are realized in Java using Spring Boot. The registers are realized using Axon Framework. This means that the components can be deployed separately, on different servers or in different containers. Such modularity offers great advantages with regard to the manageability of the solution.

Organizational Context:

The IND aspires to be a modern service provider that works information- and data-driven for the entire process of service provision in the migration chain. The Information Provision Directorate (DIV) provides support for all business processes within the IND. These main tasks are divided into four departments: Strategy \& Direction; Production House; Continuity and Technical Management; and Data Services. These departments often work in self-organizing and multidisciplinary teams that develop and manage software short-cyclically and iteratively according to the agile methodology, where steering can also still be project-based. In the coming years, the existing application landscape will be overhauled, and the existing INDiGO system landscape will be replaced in phases.

DIV has a lot of interaction with directorates within and outside the IND and is connected to various chain partners such as KvK, RvIG, and DUO. Due to this large number of interfaces, the needs of our clients and chain partners vary widely: DIV provides expertise, advice, and models and implements changes in consultation. Maintaining the current INDiGO system is currently an integral part of the IV work. Its renewal is taking up an increasing part of the work. In addition, DIV supports the platform for online collaboration (especially Sharepoint), the systems for business operations (Data warehouse, third-party systems), and those of the public environment (IND.nl - mijnIND).
