About the Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll own the user-facing experience of a cutting-edge AI-native research platform. From crafting smooth, intuitive UI/UX to optimizing performance and scalability, your work will touch every corner of the product. You’ll collaborate with designers, engineers, and product leads to turn ideas into production-ready features that make a real difference to researchers globally.

Expect to:

Develop and maintain modern frontend applications with a strong focus on speed, usability, and scalability.

Ship features continuously - from small tweaks to major functionality - with real user feedback guiding the process.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and occasionally touch backend integrations to ensure a seamless product experience.

Use AI-powered tools creatively to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Continuously improve the platform’s UI/UX, working directly with users when needed.

What We’re Looking For

They want engineers who can take initiative, own their work, and thrive in a fast-moving startup:

5+ years building frontend or full-stack applications, ideally shipping production-grade code in B2B or consumer SaaS environments.

Deep experience with React, Next.js, and Typescript; knowledge of backend systems is a bonus.

Hands-on experience building AI-native or AI-assisted products.

Strong design sense and an obsession with clean, user-friendly interfaces.

Comfort working in early-stage startups where autonomy, collaboration, and proactivity are key.

Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teamwork.

Educational background or experience aligned with research, EdTech, or knowledge platforms is a strong plus.

Bonus:

Degree from a top university

Experience with building frontends for AI native products and using AI tools to 10x productivity

Experience with AI-enhanced productivity tools (editor/writing apps, research tools, or collaboration platforms).

Familiarity with Firebase, Rust, Yjs, Tiptap, or similar technologies.

Startup experience where you had to ship fast, make decisions with limited process, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
