About the Role

The Sample Collection Technician supports the Service Delivery Managers and Production Team Managers in overseeing the delivery of services to our customers. The role is accountable for the delivery of the contract obligations for sampling. This will be a consistent, high-quality service that our customers can rely on and trust.

This role will be part of a team in London, but reporting into the Production Team Manager in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

In this role, you’ll optimise service delivery processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all client engagements. You’ll support the management of internal and external resources, including partners, to ensure deliverables meet contractual obligations and exceed expectations.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to enhance workflows, define and track key performance metrics, and develop dashboards that drive continuous improvement. You’ll also contribute to RFIs, RFPs, and other sales support activities, helping to strengthen Oritain’s client delivery and commercial success.

Customer Support

You'll act as the link between customer requirements and on-the-ground execution by translating client needs into effective collection event plans and coordinating supporting activities. You'll also ensure a seamless customer experience by managing and resolving inquiries efficiently, maintaining strong relationships, and upholding Oritain’s commitment to quality and service excellence.

Delivery Services

In this role you'll coordinate resources and manage dependencies to ensure smooth and timely service delivery. You'll identify and mitigate risks or impediments that could impact scope, schedule, or quality.

Collaborating closely with Delivery Managers, you'll align priorities and maintain focus on achieving results and delivering measurable value, even amidst complex customer environments.

Skills \& Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience applying Agile and/or Lean practices to drive process improvements and deliver results.

You will demonstrate strong business acumen, with a commitment to achieving both personal and company goals, and possess a flexible, adaptable interpersonal style that enables you to influence others, share ideas, and solve problems effectively.

Resilient under pressure, you will communicate confidently in both written and verbal formats and be proficient with business tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Atlassian applications (Confluence, Trello).

A relevant degree or diploma is desirable, along with experience in customer requirements gathering, managing professional services or support teams, and overseeing incident management processes.
