About the Role
As Technical Forester you will join our team and play a key role in delivering technical and operational support across our forestry operations. Reporting to the Forestry Manager, this senior position is integral to driving quality, productivity, and innovation within the business.
You will work closely with the Forestry Manager, Forestry Coordinators, and other key stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of our forestry operations and contribute to the overall success of the company.
You will lead initiatives in:
Genetics and deployment
Stand record maintenance
Planning and scheduling of forestry operations
Forestry quality program development and reporting
Budget consolidation and reporting
Forest growth, yield and trial management
Regime analysis and business improvement

About You
You are a forestry professional who blends technical expertise with a practical, results-focused mindset. You will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
You’ll Also Bring:
A degree in Forestry Science (or equivalent) with relevant experience
Strong technical and analytical skills with practical application
Excellent planning and organisational abilities
Proven capability to meet deadlines and deliver results
A track record of adopting and improving systems and technology
Experience in managing contractors effectively
Ability to work with a diverse range of people and build strong relationships
Pride in being a collaborative team player with self-management skills
Outstanding interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills—both written and verbal
