Telecommunication Engineer
Job Description
We’re looking for a Telecommunication Engineer to support the development of next-generation communication systems for satellites in LEO, GEO, and beyond — including lunar missions. This role is perfect for someone passionate about RF system architecture, modulation schemes, link budgets, and the evolving challenges of narrowband and wideband space communication systems.
Main Responsibilities
Design and analysis of RF and digital communication systems (modulation, coding, link budgets).
Define telecom system requirements, architecture, and interfaces.
Support hardware and software teams in integrating telecom subsystems.
Perform simulations, performance assessments, and validation of communication links.
Contribute to the development of both space and ground segments.
Interface with customers and external stakeholders on telecom requirements.
Required Skills
Solid understanding of digital communication principles.
Experience with link budgets and modulation schemes.
Experience with tools like MATLAB or equivalent.
Must speak at least one of: Italian, Slovenian, or English.
Must have EU citizenship.
Detail-oriented, self-driven, and collaborative.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of communication protocols and standards used in space.
Knowledge of SDR-based systems.
Knowledge in spectrum allocation regulation.
