Job Description

The Electricity Engineers’ Association (EEA) connects and supports New Zealand’s electricity industry — from generation to the consumer gate. As the sector transforms, the EEA is stepping up to lead with innovation, collaboration and fresh ideas.

We’re looking for a Programme Coordination \& Insights Analyst to help drive industry programmes, connect people, and share insights that power change.

This is a technical role suited to someone with strong analytical skills, exceptional writing skills, a head for detail, and the character to bring people along for the journey. You’ll be part of a small, high-impact team with big ambitions, coupled with a clear pathway for career development.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate projects, committees and events that keep the industry connected and moving forward

Research and write technical reports, guidelines and submissions with subject matter experts, learning the technical side from them

Track progress, manage timelines and keep programmes on target

Lead the Young EEA programme, bringing together the next generation of energy professionals

Dive into data, research and trends to deliver insights that spark new ideas

What You’ll Bring

Strong organisation and project coordination skills

Excellent writing, research and analytical abilities

A curious, proactive attitude and a knack for problem-solving

Confidence engaging with a range of people, from fieldworkers to technical experts, to policymakers

Interest in the energy, infrastructure or technology sectors

A willingness to grow your skills, such as stakeholder engagement

Leadership experience through internships, school roles or early career projects

Why Join the EEA?

At the EEA, you’ll work with passionate people who care about making a difference. You’ll build networks across the energy industry, learn from experts, and play a real role in shaping a smarter, cleaner electricity future for Aotearoa.

Diversity matters. Character counts. If you’re ready to make your mark, and bring others along with you, we’d love to hear from you.
