Data Product Manager!
Weâre working with a well-regarded national organisation thatâs investing heavily in digital and data capabilities. As part of this, theyâre hiring a
Data Product Manager
to help shape how data is structured, governed, and used across the business.
This is a newly defined role, evolving from a traditional data governance position into a
product-led, value-focused role,
ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of
strategy, stakeholder engagement, and pragmatic delivery
.
About the Role
As the Data Product Manager, youâll act as the
bridge between business teams and the data function
, helping to prioritise initiatives, define use cases, and guide how data is structured, governed, and used.
Youâll work across CRM systems, business reporting, and operational processes to:
Own the
vision and roadmap
for enterprise data products
Drive
engagement and clarity
between business stakeholders and the BI/engineering team
Shape fit-for-purpose data governance practices
Influence how data is used to support
decision-making, member engagement, and AI readiness
Help align data priorities to
broader strategic goals
This is not a hands-on engineering role, but youâll need enough fluency to collaborate with BI teams and understand where and how data is being applied. Ideally, youâve worked in similar cross-functional data environments and can confidently make decisions where others arenât yet ready to.
About You
Youâll likely have a background in
data product, analytics, or transformation
roles where youâve worked closely with both business stakeholders and data teams. Youâre comfortable making decisions, asking the right questions, and driving clarity when ambiguity is high.
Weâre particularly interested in people who:
Have owned or shaped
data product strategy or roadmaps
Are confident engaging non-technical stakeholders and securing buy-in
Understand what good looks like in
governance, quality, and stewardship
Can
prioritise data needs
based on business value and feasibility
Have exposure to CRM data or transformation projects (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics)
May have worked with tools like
Power BI, SQL, or Databricks
(desirable but not essential)
Thrive in
smaller, agile organisations
where solutions must be right-sized

real influence
Flexible working (Melbourne preferred), hybrid with relaxed on-site expectations
Stable, purpose-led organisation with strong values and a national footprint
35-hour week + 8+ days of additional leave
(including wellness and life leave)
A chance to shape how data is used at the strategic level â not just maintained
