Weâre looking for a Software Engineer with a strong frontâend focus to help shape and deliver highâquality, scalable web experiences across these platforms. While youâll be aligned to Credly and Faethm, your work will contribute to broader engineering standards and practices across Pearson, influencing how we build and scale frontâend applications globally.

Integrate frontâend applications with backend services via RESTful APIs
Optimise applications for speed, reliability, and longâterm maintainability
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders
Guide and mentor other engineers, contributing to shared best practices and quality standards

You donât need to tick every box, but strong frontâend depth is essential.
5+ yearsâ experience in professional frontâend development
Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience with state management (e.g. Redux or similar)
Solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimisation, and design patterns

Why this role is different
Youâll work on platforms with realâworld impact, used by learners, employers, and institutions
Youâll help shape shared frontend standards, not just ship isolated features
Youâll influence how frontâend engineering is done across Pearson, not just within one product
Youâll be trusted to balance handsâon delivery with technical leadership and mentoring
What you can expect
A collaborative, supportive engineering culture
Meaningful technical challenges with global reach
