Overview:
The R\&D Data Engineering team focuses on the development of Data Pipelines sourcing data from PepsiCo’s diverse Applications by bringing together innovative ideas and making a direct impact on our ability to drive business action through the provision data insights.
The role is for a Data Engineer who will work across the breadth of our Pipelines within the R\&D Data Engineering team on our Data Platform on the Azure Data Stack.
Responsibilities: The role includes but is not limited to:* Data ingestion (sourcing) (Azure Data Factory)
Data transformation (harmonisation, standardisation. cleansing) (Azure Databricks)
Data modelling
Report development (Power BI)
Responsibilities:* Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks pipeline development
ADF, Databricks Pipeline troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
Developing \& implementing analytic solutions that deliver, as much as possible, self-service analytics solutions leveraging available datasets
Collaborate with team members on data product deliverables across the R\&D Data Platform.
Participate in agile process activities, including daily standups and retrospectives where applicable
Collaborate with our Enterprise Data Analytics IT partners to translate business needs to actionable technical briefs against which solutions can be identified/developed.
Where relevant lead \&/or support proof of concept pilots of analytics solutions to assess effectiveness in meeting business needs.
Provide analytical support for key R\&D strategic initiatives and complex, high-profile projects; planning and scoping several inter-related initiatives and helping senior-level business stakeholders make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
3rd level qualification in Numeric/Mathematical discipline (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Software Development), with a good understanding of data analytics.
Technical skills including SQL, Python
Exposure to one or more of the following: Azure, AWS, GCP data platform technologies
For the purposes of external advertising we have called this role a R\&D Junior Data Engineer. However please note that the internal job title for the successful candidate will be R\&D Digital Platforms Sr Associate.
