Perpetual AI builds AI-powered products for businesses. We're an early-stage Irish company based in Cork, focused on building practical AI tools that solve real problems for SMEs.
We are hiring a software developer to help build the next generation of our products. This role is hands-on, high-impact, and suited to someone who wants real ownership rather than a narrow slice of a large codebase.
The Role
You will be the
primary developer
working directly with the founders to design, build, and ship production AI products. This is not a large-team environment. You will have autonomy, responsibility, and a direct line to customers and product decisions.
You will not be handed perfectly defined specs. You will help shape solutions and iterate quickly.
What You’ll Work On
Build AI-driven products from scratch, including:
Analytics platforms that help businesses understand customer behaviour and prove ROI
Internal knowledge and search tools using RAG approaches
AI-powered sales and support tooling
Extend and improve an existing Python-based AI application
Build clear frontend dashboards for analytics and reporting
Design and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services
Handle deployment and infrastructure with founder support
Iterate quickly based on real customer feedback
What We’re Looking For
Strong Python skills
Experience with a web framework such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
Frontend experience with React, Vue, or similar
Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and basic system design
Prior experience with LLMs, RAG systems, data visualisation, or cloud platforms
How you work
Comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools to move faster and ship better software
Self-directed and able to work independently with clear objectives
Comfortable with ambiguity and making reasonable technical decisions
Pragmatic mindset: delivering and improving beats perfection
Practical Details
Based in or willing to commute to Cork
Remote / hybrid working with in-person meetings every two weeks
Ideally available to start in March/ April 2026
