About Position:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to Lead the design and implementation of a scalable mapping data factory using Databricks, driving architecture for transformation pipelines, enforcing best practices, and mentoring others.

What You'll Do:
Architect end-to-end data mapping and transformation solutions centered on Databricks, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.
Define standards for schema mapping, reusable transformation patterns, and modular pipeline design.
Lead complex data mapping projects involving multiple source and target systems, including master data integration, reference lookups, and derived KPIs.
Champion data quality, lineage, observability, and auditability across the mapping factory.
Optimize cost and performance of large-scale Spark workloads; define cluster sizing strategy and auto-scaling policies.
Establish and drive CI/CD, automated testing (unit/integration for transformations), and deployment best practices for Databricks artifacts.
Serve as the technical liaison between business data owners and engineering teams to translate evolving requirements into robust mappings.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
Evaluate and recommend complementary technologies (e.g., ingestion frameworks, metadata stores).
Expertise You'll Bring:
5+ years of data engineering experience with deep expertise in Python/Databricks/Spark.
Proven track record designing and implementing complex schema-to-schema mapping factories.
Strong background in data modeling, transformation logic, and data lineage capture.
Expertise in Python for writing Spark jobs.
Expertise in Delta Lake, CDC, slowly changing dimensions, and incremental processing.
Experience with orchestration (Azure Data Factory or equivalent) and integrating multiple systems.
Solid grasp of software engineering practices: versioning, testing, modular design, and automation.
